Inassoc Batang Aims for Second Place in Forda Jateng

Inassoc Batang, which has seen significant growth over the past two years, continues to develop the potential of its athletes as they prepare to compete in the upcoming Regional Sports Festival (Forda). Despite being relatively new, the airsoft athletes of Inassoc are aiming for second place at the provincial level in Central Java.

Inassoc, a part of the Indonesian Recreational Sports Federation (Kormi), encourages many young people to take an interest in the sport of airsoft. Muhammad Arif, the chairman of Inassoc Batang, stated that the athletes have been training intensively, especially after achieving motivating successes.

"Our athletes won gold medals in four categories and a silver medal at the National Sports Festival (Fornas). They are also supported by training facilities at the Paraduta Shooting Range, allowing for optimal preparation," he emphasized when met at the Batang District Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) on Thursday (July 6, 2024).

The local government has also made efforts to provide support, such as funding and facilitating training access through cooperation with Kodim 0736/Batang. Bambang Suryantoro Sudibyo, the advisor of Inassoc and head of Disdikbud Batang, appreciated the athletes' achievements despite Inassoc's relatively short existence.

"They plan to compete in Banyumas from July 5-7. Winning requires more than just training; maintaining sportsmanship, continuous learning, and expanding camaraderie are essential," he advised.

One of the airsoft athletes, Laura, mentioned that in preparation for the competition, she and her fellow athletes have been training regularly for the past two months. "We have a weekly training schedule, so we are optimistic about winning. I joined airsoft to become a great female athlete and to eventually become a member of the Women's Naval Corps (Kowal)," she said confidently.

With thorough preparation and full support from various parties, Inassoc Batang is ready to achieve excellence at Forda Jateng and bring honor to their region.
