BNNK Kendal, Blood Donation as a Proof of Care and Resistance Against Drugs

Galapos ID, Kendal-Central Java

The National Narcotics Agency of Kendal Regency (BNNK Kendal) organized a social service event in the form of a blood donation drive as part of the International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) 2024 celebrations. This event not only demonstrates concern for public health but also serves as a tangible action in the fight against drugs.

Anna Setiyawati, Head of BNNK Kendal, stated that this event involved all elements of society from various sectors. "We care for all members of the community. We are also involving all elements from various sectors, and the enthusiasm is extraordinary. Many people are participating today," Anna said.

Furthermore, Anna emphasized the importance of this social action as part of BNNK Kendal's strategy to combat drugs. "In addition to law enforcement, we also carry out social actions that we routinely conduct every year. Even during non-HANI events, we also engage in these social activities. Our hope is that with the community moving together against drugs, we can show that Kendal truly shines, free from drugs, to realize our great dream of a drug-free Indonesia," she added.

The blood donation event received a positive response from the community, including Ratnawati, a regular blood donor. "I am very grateful to support this, especially in Kendal Regency. As we know, blood donation is very necessary for humanity. I donate blood regularly every three months, thank God, at the Kendal Red Cross. Hopefully, through this blood donation, those who are not yet aware will participate, as this is for the humanitarian cause of all Kendal Regency residents," Ratnawati said.

Through this event, BNNK Kendal hopes that more people will get involved in social activities and become aware of the importance of staying away from drugs for better health and a brighter future.
