The National Youth Conference or in Indonesia knows as Konferensi Pemuda Nasional (KPN) held a Seminar and Talk Show titled "Proud of Indonesian Products" at the Kendal Regency Hall on Friday, July 5, 2024. The event aimed to inspire students and university students to increase their pride in Indonesian-made products.

The seminar, a collaboration between KPN, the Central Java Provincial Trade Office, and the Kendal Regional Government, successfully gathered around 300 participants. These participants included junior high school, high school, and vocational school students along with their accompanying teachers, university students, and the general public.

Rully Syahputra, the Chairman of KPN, stated that the main goal of the seminar was to raise public awareness, especially among the younger generation, about the importance of using domestic products. He emphasized that Indonesia has many products from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that need support to grow further.

"Indonesia's economy relies on the MSME sector, small and medium industries, and the creative economy, which must be maintained, assisted, and supported not only by the government but by the entire community," Rully said in his speech.

Rully also expressed his hope that MSME actors can continuously improve product quality and human resource capabilities. "To compete with foreign products, local MSME products must be of high quality and well-managed, and human resource capabilities must also be enhanced," he added.

The event also featured Juni Prayitno, an innovator from Kendal who has achieved national success. Juni introduced one of his innovations, Protades, a web-based digital platform used for the digital restoration of village government land archives, specifically the Leter C Book.

Juni shared that the Protades village application has won national awards and has become one of Kendal's flagship youth products, already used in 827 villages across various regions in Indonesia. "This application is tangible proof that innovation from villages can also achieve national recognition," Juni explained.

To inspire village youth, Juni also created a short film titled "Dari Desa Merajut Asa" (Weaving Hope from the Village). This film aims to motivate young people to keep innovating and creating, despite existing limitations. "Through this film, I hope young people, especially in Kendal, will continue to innovate and enhance their creativity even with the limitations they face," Juni said.

The seminar and talk show are expected to provide new motivation and enthusiasm for the younger generation to love and support domestic products, as well as inspire them to continue innovating and contributing to the nation's progress.
